DigitalOcean alternative with crypto payment: dedisrv vs DigitalOcean Droplets

For the same vCPU and RAM, dedisrv costs less than a DigitalOcean Droplet and takes USDT, USDC and Monero, but its disks are smaller and it has no managed services. A comparison checked in November 2026.

Short answer

  • dedisrv costs less for the same CPU and memory. For example, 2 vCPU and 4 GB cost $15 a month at dedisrv and $24 at DigitalOcean.
  • DigitalOcean gives more disk and a whole platform around the server: managed databases, Kubernetes, object storage, per-second billing and regions worldwide.
  • Both take crypto, in different ways. DigitalOcean accepts stablecoins from crypto wallets, with limited availability. dedisrv takes USDT and USDC on Base, Ethereum and Polygon, plus ETH, POL and Monero, for every customer.

Payment

DigitalOcean's payment documentation lists Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, UnionPay, Diners Club and JCB cards; PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Alipay and Link; ACH debit for US bank accounts; and stablecoin payments from crypto wallets. For the crypto option it notes that access is currently limited and may not be available to all customers in all locations, and that setting it up involves a $25 authorization charge credited toward future bills. Virtual and prepaid cards are not accepted.

At dedisrv, crypto is the way to pay, for everyone. You send USDC or USDT on Base, Ethereum or Polygon, or ETH, POL or Monero to the address on the invoice and paste the transaction hash (txid). The payment is credited once the transaction is confirmed. See paying with crypto.

Where DigitalOcean is better

  • Four to ten times more disk on comparable plans.
  • Managed databases, Kubernetes, App Platform, object storage and load balancers.
  • Per-second billing and data centers on several continents.

Where dedisrv is better

  • Lower monthly price for the same vCPU and RAM.
  • No traffic limit; DigitalOcean includes 3 to 6 TB a month on these plans.
  • USDT, POL and Monero, and stablecoins on low-fee networks such as Base and Polygon, available to every customer.
  • Sign-up with an email and a confirmation code, without a card.
  • Support in English, Ukrainian and Russian, a public service agreement and an invoice for every order.

Which one to choose
