VPS in Europe paid with crypto: dedisrv, Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr, Contabo and OVHcloud compared (2026)
Which European VPS providers accept cryptocurrency, what they charge for 2 to 8 vCPU, and where dedisrv fits. A side-by-side comparison of payment methods, prices and sign-up, checked on the providers' own pages in November 2026.
Short answer
- Hetzner, Contabo and OVHcloud don't accept cryptocurrency directly. If you can pay by card, PayPal or bank transfer, they give the most disk space for the money.
- Vultr takes nine coins through BitPay, including BTC, ETH and USDC. USDT and Monero are not on its list.
- DigitalOcean accepts stablecoins from crypto wallets, but says access to this method is limited and may not be available to every customer or country. Setting it up involves a $25 authorization that is credited to the account.
- dedisrv takes USDT and USDC on Base, Ethereum and Polygon, plus ETH, POL and Monero, with no card on file. For the same vCPU and RAM it costs less than DigitalOcean and Vultr and has no traffic limit, but its NVMe disks are much smaller.

Notes:
- Hetzner prices exclude VAT and are for its German and Finnish locations. On 3 November 2026 its site showed these plans as currently unavailable.
- OVHcloud shows "from" prices; the final price depends on the options you choose.
- Monthly traffic: Hetzner 20 TB; DigitalOcean 4, 5 and 6 TB; Vultr High Performance 5, 6 and 8 TB; dedisrv has no limit on any plan, with a 1 Gbit/s port.
- We could not load Contabo's price list for this comparison, so it isn't in the table. Check contabo.com for current prices.
What the numbers mean
- Disk space is where dedisrv loses. Its plans have 15 to 30 GB of NVMe. That is enough for the OS, applications and moderate databases, but not for media archives or large backups. If you need hundreds of gigabytes and can pay by card, Hetzner, Contabo or OVHcloud give far more storage per euro.
- CPU and memory are where dedisrv wins against the big clouds. 8 vCPU cost $32 a month at dedisrv, with 12 GB of RAM, and $96 at DigitalOcean and at Vultr High Performance, with 16 GB.
- Traffic is not capped at dedisrv. Hetzner, DigitalOcean and Vultr include a fixed monthly allowance of 4 to 20 TB; dedisrv plans have no allowance to run out of.
- The coins differ. USDT, the most widely used stablecoin, is accepted here only by dedisrv, on Base, Ethereum and Polygon. Monero is also accepted only by dedisrv. Vultr takes Bitcoin, which dedisrv does not.
Other differences worth knowing
- Billing. DigitalOcean bills per second, and Hetzner and Vultr show hourly rates. dedisrv bills by the month, with discounts for longer periods.
- Sign-up. Hetzner may ask new customers for a copy of a government ID or an advance payment by their own credit card. dedisrv asks for an email address and a confirmation code; no ID documents are requested.
- Services around the server. DigitalOcean and Vultr offer managed databases, Kubernetes, object storage and regions worldwide. dedisrv sells VPS, dedicated servers and domains in Europe.
- Support and paperwork. dedisrv answers in English, Ukrainian and Russian, daily from 09:00 to 21:00 EET, and works under a public service agreement with an invoice for every order.
Which one to choose
- You pay by card and need the most disk for the money: Hetzner, Contabo or OVHcloud.
- You need managed services or regions outside Europe: DigitalOcean or Vultr. Choose Vultr if you want to pay in Bitcoin.
- You want to pay in USDT, USDC, POL or Monero without a card on file, and a European VPS from $10 a month is enough: dedisrv.
