Paying an invoice with crypto

Every invoice in your account has a "Pay" block. Pick a coin, then a network, and only then you get the address, the exact amount and a QR code. The order matters: sending USDT on Ethereum to an address you meant for Polygon is the classic way to lose a payment, so the address simply stays hidden until both are chosen.

What we accept

  • USDC and USDT on Base, Polygon and Ethereum
  • ETH on Base and Ethereum
  • POL on Polygon
  • XMR (Monero)

If you have a choice, take a stablecoin on Base or Polygon. Network fees there are cents, and the amount arrives exactly as invoiced. On Ethereum mainnet the fee can easily be a few dollars, which is a lot on a $15 plan.

Send the exact amount

The amount on the invoice has a few extra cents at the end, for example $25.37 instead of $25.00. That tail is a label: it tells us which invoice the money belongs to, so a stablecoin payment with the exact amount is matched and credited without anyone touching it. Round it and the payment still arrives, but it waits for a manual check.

ETH and POL are converted at the rate at the moment of confirmation, so their amount can't match to the cent. These payments are checked by hand, usually the same day. The same goes for XMR: Monero transactions can't be read from outside, so we confirm them in the wallet.

After sending

Paste the transaction hash (txid) into the "I’ve paid — paste the txid" block on the invoice page, choose the network and press "Check payment". It isn't strictly required, but it speeds things up and lets you watch the status: "Checking the transaction…", then "Credited". We wait for confirmations before crediting: 10 on Base, 12 on Ethereum, 64 on Polygon. In practice that's one to five minutes.

Credited money goes to your account balance first, and the invoice is paid from it. If you sent more than needed, the rest stays on the balance and covers the next renewal. Balance funds don't expire.

Topping up in advance

On the "Balance" tab you can create a top-up invoice for any amount from $5 to $2,000. It's paid the same way. With auto-renewal on, renewal invoices are then paid from the balance automatically, so you don't have to catch each one.

Something went wrong, like the wrong network or the wrong amount? Open a ticket with the txid. Don't send the payment again "to be safe": we'll find the first one.
