How to order a VPS

From sign-up to your first SSH login takes about ten minutes, and most of that is waiting for the payment to confirm on-chain. Here are the steps, with the same button names you'll see in your account.

1. Sign up and confirm your email

Go to my.dedisrv.com and create an account: with Google, with a one-time code sent to your email, or with an email and password. If you signed up by email, we send a 6-digit code. You can't order until the email is confirmed.

2. Pick a plan and an OS

In your account, click "Order a VPS". On the order page:

  • Plan — the plans are compared in "How to choose a VPS plan". If unsure, start smaller: you can upgrade later without a reinstall.
  • Operating system — Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux.
  • Billing period — one month or longer. 6, 12 and 24 months come with a discount, and the total updates as you choose.
  • SSH public key — optional. Paste one and you can log in with the key instead of a password.
  • Promo code, if you have one — press "Apply" next to the field.

Click "Order and get the invoice". Need several servers? Add them with "Add to cart" and check out with one invoice.

3. Pay the invoice

After ordering you land on the invoice page with the payment block. We accept USDT and USDC on Base, Ethereum and Polygon, plus ETH, POL and Monero (XMR). The step-by-step, including how not to mix up networks, is in "Paying an invoice with crypto".

Any money already on your account balance is deducted from the amount due. An invoice fully covered by the balance pays itself.

4. Get access to your server

Once the payment is credited, the server is created automatically, usually within a few minutes. Open it under "Services": you'll see the IP address, the SSH port and the root login.

The password is shown once, behind the "Show password" button, so save it to a password manager right away. Lost it? Click "Reset password" to get a new one. If you added an SSH key when ordering, you won't need the password at all.

Connecting from Windows, macOS and Linux is covered in "How to connect to your server over SSH".

If something goes wrong

  • "You already have three unpaid orders" — pay one of them, or wait for the unpaid ones to be cancelled automatically.
  • Paid, but no server after 30 minutes — open a support ticket from your account and include the payment txid.
  • Don't place the same order again to "nudge" it. That only creates another invoice; we'll find the first payment anyway.
