MonoVM alternative: a cheaper crypto-paid VPS in Europe

MonoVM has sold VPS for Bitcoin since 2011, takes USDT and other coins, and has a dozen European locations. Its monthly Linux VPS prices are two to three times higher than dedisrv's for the same CPU and RAM, with larger SSD disks. Checked in November 2026.

Short answer

  • Same CPU and RAM for much less: dedisrv. 2 vCPU and 4 GB cost $15 a month at dedisrv and $29.99 at MonoVM.
  • A specific European city and more disk: MonoVM, with locations from Helsinki and Stockholm to Zurich and Vienna.
  • USDT: both take it. Monero and USDC on Base or Polygon: dedisrv. Cards and PayPal: MonoVM.

Price for the same CPU and RAM

CPU / RAM dedisrv MonoVM Linux VPS, monthly
2 vCPU / 2 GB $10, 15 GB NVMe, unlimited traffic $19.99, 50 GB SSD
2 vCPU / 4 GB $15, 20 GB, unlimited traffic $29.99, 80 GB SSD
4 vCPU / 8 GB $22, 25 GB, unlimited traffic $64.99, 150 GB SSD

MonoVM prices are monthly, from its Linux VPS page. Paying for a year saves 20%, two years 25%, three years 30%. Its FAQ calls European traffic "technically unlimited" under a fair-use cap of 12 TB a month.

Payment and locations

MonoVM accepts cards, PayPal, wire transfer and a wide range of cryptocurrencies, and mentions Bitcoin and USDT as the most popular. Its European locations are Amsterdam, Bucharest, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Manchester, Moscow, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna, Warsaw and Zurich.

dedisrv takes USDT and USDC on Base, Ethereum and Polygon, plus ETH, POL and Monero, sent straight to the address on the invoice. Servers are in the EU. See paying with crypto.

Where MonoVM is better

  • Twelve European locations to choose from.
  • Three to six times more disk.
  • Windows VPS and RDP options; cards, PayPal and wire transfer.
  • Large discounts for one- to three-year terms.

Where dedisrv is better

  • Two to three times cheaper per month for the same CPU and RAM, and still cheaper than MonoVM's three-year price.
  • NVMe disks, and no traffic cap, where MonoVM applies a 12 TB fair-use limit in Europe.
  • Monero, POL, and stablecoins on Base and Polygon where network fees are a few cents.
  • An 8 vCPU / 12 GB plan for $32, support in English, Ukrainian and Russian, and an invoice for every order.

Which one to choose

Choose MonoVM if you need a server in a particular European city or more disk space. Choose dedisrv if you want more CPU and RAM per dollar, pay in stablecoins or Monero, and your project fits in 15–30 GB of NVMe.
