Hetzner alternative with crypto payment: dedisrv vs Hetzner Cloud

Hetzner Cloud is one of the cheapest clouds in Europe, but it doesn't accept cryptocurrency and may ask new customers for ID. Here is how dedisrv compares on price, payment and sign-up, checked in November 2026.

Short answer

  • Hetzner's cost-optimized plans are cheaper and give far more disk. If you can pay by card, SEPA or PayPal and pass its verification, they are hard to beat on price. Its regular-performance plans cost more than dedisrv for the same vCPU and RAM.
  • dedisrv is for paying in crypto. It takes USDT and USDC on Base, Ethereum and Polygon, plus ETH, POL and Monero. There is no card on file and no ID check at sign-up.

Price for the same vCPU and RAM

dedisrv Hetzner cost-optimized (CX) Hetzner regular performance (CPX)
2 vCPU / 4 GB $15, 20 GB NVMe €5.99, 40 GB €19.99, 80 GB
4 vCPU / 8 GB $22, 25 GB NVMe €8.99, 80 GB €35.99, 160 GB
8 vCPU / 12–16 GB $32, 12 GB RAM, 30 GB NVMe €16.49, 160 GB €69.99, 320 GB
Traffic per month unlimited 20 TB 20 TB

The smallest dedisrv plan, Pulse, has 2 vCPU and 2 GB for $10 a month. Hetzner's smallest regular-performance plan has 1 vCPU and 1 GB for €6.49.

Hetzner prices exclude VAT and are for its German and Finnish locations, with an IPv4 address included. On 3 November 2026 Hetzner's site showed these plans as currently unavailable. The dedisrv price on the site is the amount on the invoice.

Payment

Hetzner's payment page is direct about it: "We do not accept cryptocurrencies." It takes Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and UnionPay cards, SEPA direct debit for euro accounts, bank transfer and PayPal, which you pay manually. Payments through wallets linked to a card, such as Apple Pay, aren't accepted either.

At dedisrv you pay every invoice in crypto: USDC or USDT on Base, Ethereum or Polygon, ETH, POL or Monero. You send the amount to the address on the invoice and paste the transaction hash (txid); the system checks the transaction and credits it. USDC and USDT are credited 1:1 to the dollar price. More in paying with crypto.

Sign-up and verification

Hetzner's fraud-prevention FAQ says a new account can be verified in two ways: a copy of a valid government-issued ID, or an advance payment with your own credit card. It also asks you not to use a VPN during registration.

At dedisrv you sign up with an email address, a password and a 6-digit code sent to that email. No ID documents are requested. Disposable email addresses are not accepted.

Where Hetzner is better

  • Much more NVMe disk on every plan.
  • Lower prices on the cost-optimized line, when it is in stock.
  • Hourly rates, volumes, snapshots, load balancers and firewalls in one cloud console and API.

Where dedisrv is better

  • USDT, USDC, POL and Monero, with no card or PayPal account needed.
  • No traffic limit; Hetzner includes 20 TB a month per server.
  • Email-only sign-up, without ID documents or a card prepayment.
  • Support in English, Ukrainian and Russian, daily from 09:00 to 21:00 EET.
  • A public service agreement and an invoice for every order in your account.

Which one to choose

Choose Hetzner if you pay by card, need hundreds of gigabytes of disk or the lowest price, and are fine with its verification. Choose dedisrv if you want to pay in crypto, keep cards out of it, and your project fits in 15–30 GB of NVMe: websites, bots, VPN, CRM, APIs and databases of moderate size.
